Looks like being another day or so, so back late Monday or Tuesday. Whilst the expolits used by the hackers have been solved, scanning the remainder of the site for any possible other vulnerabilities is taking a while

No worries, Gareth - we're just appreciative of having had a trouble-free TT all these years (and all your efforts in keeping it going!)

What's more, if this is costing you money and you'd like a donation to cover that cost then please ask. I've taken a lot from the forum in the past few years and I'd be happy to give something back.

Agree -- I'm still relatively new to TT so don't know the finances of the site etc, but happy to contribute to make sure nobody is out of pocket on this.

Cheers guys, much appreciated.
It'd probably suprise most to find out the cost of running TriTalk but feel the ongoing costs can and should be covered by advertising. Thankfully it's a bit more professional now than when it first started, hence the site's content was restored almost immediately with very little lost. For example we now have:
24 x 7 external monitoring of the server and daily security patching (vulnerability was in the website not server). A dedicated high-spec Dell server hosted in a UK data centre with 100% network uptime guarentee Daily remote backup system holding last 7 daily backups and 4 weekly backups with an easy restore functionality
What I would really like to do is upgrade the forum software as a real priority. Due to its prevalance on the internet phpbb forums are a target for all script kiddies and as we have found spam bots, so feel we are always going to be at risk. Vbulletin looks much better suited to our needs.
Let's get the site back online and then consider if we want to change forum software and if we need to accept donations to finance this project as I would get someone else to do it.

as per my first post late Monday or Tuesday. I'll update if it is going to be any later than that - though I doubt it will be.
