I find if I baste them with egg white beforehand they get a nice rich glow when you take them out of the oven

I always favour a soy sauce and honey marinade. Put some tomato sause with some chives and cloves. Simmer lightly for 20 mins. Add in half a pint of milk and some lightly diced peppers, stirring continuously. Put in a bowl and let it cool. Stand on one leg, and pour the contents on your head.

Seriously guys, if you are commuting, I'd highly recommend the kitten skin clinchers - filled with nitrogen.
