Teaching Tri in Schools...the update !

Well, following the pre-hack thread, I have now spoken with the school and they are well up for it. It turns out that the PE co-ordinator is a cyclist and her husband is a triathlete !!!!

They think it is a top idea and want to get it sorted asap. I have emailed Rob Bishop at the BTA and I am meeting him on Monday to get the ball rolling....

I am really excited about this and my plan is to hold an event for the school in summer......(not even started to think about the logistics, but how good would that be).....

My back is now 100% better and I have swum 6k this week and done three 1hr turbo sessions....first run will be on Monday....

Make sure you get proper race numbers printed for the kids - the teachers will curse you as they will have to help the kids pin them on but the kids will think they are the best things ever!

glad to hear your back is sorted, not the mad panic initially feared. keep up with those exercises though. you don't want a repeat of last week.

dead right mate, those exercises are now ingrained into my daily activities.....I will be the definition of core stability in a few weeks...

seriously excited about this project now....both my lads who go to the school keep asking when they can do a triathlon !!! (they are 5 and 7....)
