Apart from the joy of seeing Ray on -2, is there any point to smiting? In a perfect world, I guess it would be a way of approving or disapproving of a person and "wot they rote". For example, Duncan74 could have been exalted many times, until we learnt that Park Tools is gospel. On the other hand kevs wassssssssssssssssssssssup threads would have probably attracted smite/d/ness/tion/ising.
