Well folks, it's this weekend and a couple of Tritalkers are doing it. GraemeS (who probably won't get to see this board before the race) is one of Scotland's finest and I think could go very well in his first time out, no pressure but if it goes to play we could see a quality time from the boy.
Who's up for a bit of watching on ironmanlive.com?

3 from chester Tri as well.
The club Xmas bash is on the same day and there was some debate at the AGM on whether results from the race should be counted towards this year's club championship, in the manner of voting on the night for BBC Sorts Personality. Thankfully, this isn't going to happen...apart from anything else, we'll all be too piossed to count!

Not long now, looking forward to the time of reckoning.
36 degrees out there the last I heard, how will the Dundee resident fair?

Don't forget Paul Newsome (swimsmooth) is in the race. My net connection is on super-slow mode so I can't check his progress (and I need to get out for a run!).

Cheers Andy, I'm pleased with the race. The major limiters on my speed were an inordinately large number of portaloo stops on the bike and run and the scorching sun. Air temp was below 35 most of the day but some parts of run were very exposed and the sun took it out on everyone. Lots of people seemed to be collapsing at the finish. At least it means the legs aren’t too mashed though which is almost a disappointment but I'll get over it! I was told I broke the record for the fastest T1! Explains why my HR was 167 instead of 145 at the start of the bike. Will try a post a better report at some point. It's an awesome location for a race though with a fantastic swim. Graeme
